Project description:

Nedcon Maritime has recently started a new experience receiving a very important request to form a team of Pipefitters to be trained in an innovative pipe system consisting of fiber glass pipes.

Scope of work:

The professionals were able to assimilate in the shortest time all the information received, communicating extremely well with the trainer, proving their English knowledge and extensive experience as pipefitters. They have the ability to easily adapt to any new material requested for them to work with and understand the advantages of this new type of pipe system which is resistant to rotting and corrosion, combining the long established benefits of composite materials including light weight and excellent long service lifetime.
By completing the training the men were certified in order to prove their new qualification since they will be required to work in vast refit projects on passenger vessels consisting in the replacement of the existing pipe system with fiberglass pipes.

Results:

Apart from providing the needed riding squads for any demand in the international shipyards, Nedcon Maritime has proven its efficiency in gathering highly skilled workers ready to travel all over the world to carry out emergency or routine onboard any type of vessel while still on voyage, guaranteeing in-time completion, at a competitive cost.

Feedback:

This solution exempts the ship owners and ship managers from the burden of having the vessel taken off form trading in order to have it repaired, which is costly and time consuming.
